Nylon Guide Shoe
I updated my 30 year old Mag-9000. I replaced the original nylon adjustment nut with the new adjustment nut. The new nut is a lot wider than the old on so it doesn't try to turn and works much smoother.

Good solid product but could be made out of steel to last longer. 6 crews run our grinders 3 days a week and the next time I have to replace one I will make it out of steel. Magna-Matic Response: The reason we make this part out of plastic is the plastic will wear and not seize. If the part were steel when grit got into the threads it would seize and prevent any adjustment. As a plastic part it will take quite some time before it wears enough to no longer adjust and then the threaded rod will not take any damage. This part is designed to wear.

Adjustment nut for MAG-9000 series. This plastic block rides up and down the 9000-16 to raise and lower the grinding wheel in the MAG-9000 Lawn Mower Blade Sharpener.
