This dressing stick is the best way to clean a wheel that has been glazed by over-feeding (over-pushing) material into the wheel. The stick can also be used to re-true a grinding wheel that has been misused and is now out-of-round.
NORTON dressing sticks for vitrified-bond conventional grinding wheels are made of extra-coarse grit, grade 37C silicon carbide. Silicon carbide can be used to repair vitrified grinding wheels made of aluminum oxide, ceramic, and silicon carbide.
