not overly impressed with the adapter's sloppy fit to the blade. I doubt that I could ever get a perfect balance while using this adapter. Probably no more so than just using the blade and balancer together and not using the adapter at all. MAGNA-MATIC RESPONSE: Please note that if the blade hole is worn or damaged the blade hole adapter may not fit as tight as if the blade was new. Be aware that there are two sizes of Husqvarna blade hole adapters and they are close in size - some customers buy the incorrect adapter and then will have poor fitment.
It works as intended. There are 2 similar Husqvarna 5 pt inserts. Be sure to select the correct one. This is made of plastic. Considering the number of times you must place and remove a blade from the wall during balancing, am not yet sure of the longevity of this plastic adapter.
The star shape fits the Husqvarna blade center well. The middle hole of the adapter will not fit my particular cast aluminum blade balancer though. I will need to ream it out about 10-thousandths to get it to fit on one of the steps of my blade balancer. This is no big deal though; it's fitment to the Husqvarna blade hole is what's is more important. I realize that there are numerous brands of pivoting blade balancers, with some being plastic and some being aluminum or other materials. Thanks ! Magna-Matic response: Please note the table top cone balancers are very inaccurate because the steps the in the cone never match the blade hole, and therefore you can bias weight and change your reading every time the blade is placed on the step of the cone. It is this reason that we use a smooth cone and magnet to accurately locate the center of rotation consistently every time.
